Thank you for the reply. I think real data is more illuminating than theory. In 2023, solar accounted for 53% of new electricity generating capacity in the United States; that grew to 64% in 2024. In 2023, the US added 7.9 GW of battery storage; in 2024, it added 9.2 GW. We are continuing to add natural gas plants, but at a slower pace, and new simple-cycle gas turbine plants for peaker duty are clearing investment hurdles.
